Design courses tailored to your organization's policies or specific needs.
Centralize all awareness content in one place.
Create multilingual versions of the same course (Spanish, English, or Portuguese).
Measure user performance through assessments and completion metrics.
Publish the course directly to active campaigns or learning paths.
Navigation: Academy → Courses → Course Management → Custom Courses
From the main menu, go to Academy → Courses.
Click Course Management → Custom Courses, then click New custom course.
Fill in the Basic course information tab:
Course title (Required): name visible to users.
Subtitle (Optional): complementary text.
Description (Optional): brief summary of the content or purpose.
Language (Required): select the primary language (Spanish, English, or Portuguese). Defaults to the company's configured primary language.
Cover image (Required): image that visually identifies the course.
Load the course content. On this screen you can:
Add sections in Video, Reading, or Quiz format.
Within Lecture-type sections, you can insert images from the organization's Media Library or upload a new image from your computer. Accepted formats: .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .webp.
Include quizzes or assessments to measure user comprehension.
Once the content is complete, click Save and publish.
Assign the course to collaborators, active campaigns, or learning paths.
If the course isn't ready to publish yet, you can save it as a draft and continue editing it later from Course Management → Custom Courses.
What content formats are supported?
Video, images (JPG/PNG), rich text, and quizzes.
How do I find my custom courses?
They're available under Course Management → Custom Courses, separate from Whalemate's general catalog.
Can I edit a course after it's been published?
Yes. You can edit custom courses from the same section at any time.
Can I create the same course in multiple languages?
Yes. When creating the course you select the primary language, and you can create additional versions for other languages.
Can I assign the course to an active campaign?
Yes. Once published, the course can be assigned directly to campaigns or learning paths during the assignment step.
